Foundation Immersion: The Language of Indigo

Over six immersive hours, you will fold, bind, dip, and reveal — watching fabric emerge from the indigo vat in luminous shades that shift from green to deep midnight as they meet the air.

Together, we will:

• Explore the rich cultural lineage of indigo and Shibori
• Learn foundational techniques such as itajime (fold and clamp) and arashi (pole wrapping)
• Experience the alchemy of indigo oxidation firsthand
• Develop an understanding of pattern planning and repetition
• Build layered depth through multiple dye immersions
